The horses of the Stud farm at Mierzęcin Palace are perfectly prepared for work with beginners and advanced riders as well. Calm ponies of different sizes and good disposition await the youngest riders. Silesian mares are ideally suited for carts - they perform admirably during britzka rides around the picturesque surroundings of the Palace. Moreover, they look gorgeous at the wedding retinue.
The following is a short presentation of the charges of our stud farm:

HALMA

A mare who has trained and introduced many aspiring riders to the equestrian world. She is very gentle during stable care routines and has taught many people that horses must be approached with care and thoughtfulness. Ideal for beginners ready to start independent riding without a lunge line. Well-accepted in the herd, she knows how to secure her spot at the hay feeder. Riders can take the "I Ride a Horse" badge exam on her.

Gloria

Everyone wants to ride her! A horse with an incredible temperament, wonderfully trained under the saddle and in handling. Many riders successfully take their equestrian badge exams on her. Anyone who rides her once falls in love instantly. She was a wonderful mother to Gratis, always caring and teaching him how to behave in this new world.

GRATIS

Our youngest horse. After being weaned from his mother, he started his life in the pasture with the rest of the herd, where he spends all his days and nights. He will return to the stable at 3.5 years old to begin his riding training. He gets along with all the horses and encourages older companions to play. Always friendly and curious, as young horses naturally are. Spending his early years in the pasture will allow proper muscle development and help shape a calm mind, which will pay off in the future.

ASSET

Kolo's best buddy, always in his company in the paddock. Though there is a significant age gap between them, Asset behaves like his peer. They often chase each other, nip playfully, or groom one another. With such companionship, Asset is experiencing his second youth. Due to his age, his work under the saddle is now quite limited.

SAJGON

A horse who spent most of his life competing in show jumping arenas across Poland. An exceptional jumper with a true passion for winning. Now, due to his age, he enjoys retirement in the pasture, relishing the pleasures of equine life.

PETRA

There is probably no horse with a calmer temperament. She is incredibly patient and never shows if she’s having a bad day. Perfect for beginner riders, as her innate calmness makes them feel safe and comfortable. In the herd, she is closest to little Suzy, and together they look absolutely adorable. She strongly dislikes rain and snow, but only on colder days.

Suzy

The little mascot of our stable, always accompanied by Smoky in the paddock. Unfortunately, she is not suitable for riding, but she enthusiastically responds to children who want to pet her and scratch behind her ear. She easily steals the hearts of our youngest visitors, who will do anything to convince their parents to visit the Mierzęcin Palace stables again.

SMOOKY

This pony needs no introduction! Children absolutely adore him. He is always patient and thoughtful, as befits an experienced equine professor. For his own well-being, he enjoys going on walks with a small rider on his back. His calm demeanor even influences the much more energetic and chaotic

HUBA

A future mother and a born individualist. In interactions with other horses, she is unyielding. She always has her own opinion and takes charge in the herd. As an older mare, she passes on her wisdom and experience to the younger generation of horses. She taught Dekalog how to pull a carriage and keeps the unruly Gratis in check.

DEKALOG

A gelding who is never in a hurry and takes his time with everything. He performs his job in the carriage with diligence and precision, as guests of Mierzęcin Palace mainly encounter him during carriage rides around the estate. In the pasture, he is friends with Sajgon and Jawor. In the past, he formed an ideal driving pair with Huba.

OGNISTY

The largest of the horses designated for children under 10 years old. His name is no coincidence, as he occasionally asserts himself within the herd. He and Smoky are old friends and feel very secure together, having shared a stall for many years. They love going on walks in pairs, carrying young riding enthusiasts on their backs. Anyone who has been on such an outing knows that a stop by the chapel for a bite of grass is a must.
